A job within a job: for about 4 months I had led the regional delegation in the mornings, and the Zimbabwe delegation in the afternoon, filling in between substantive postholders.
It was a time where the finances were very tight, and morale was rather wobbly, and holding the ship together and keeping it pointed in the right direction was enjoyable, but slightly terrifying. Great staff and committed colleagues made everything possible.
