Habitat for Humanity GB organised a gathering of urban humanitarian practitioners to review parts of the Sphere Standards for the revised Handbook. I was asked to facilitate a couple of days of thinking and commenting. In addition to feedback on individual Standards, some higher level issues were identified around urban recovery and the Sphere Standards, and these were communicated back to Sphere and incorporated into the next draft.
This workshop was tied to an urban humanitarian symposium held at the Royal Institution of British Architects, at which I was invited to present some initial findings and join panel discussions.
